INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information you give us. You may give us information about you by filling in the ‘contact’ form on our site www.mr-miles.co.uk, by filling in a form in store, making a booking or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our site, enter a competition, promotion or survey, and when you report a problem with our site. WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION WE GATHER

  • Contact you with regards to an enquiry or booking, this will be using either email, telephone, SMS or by leaving an answer phone message.

  • To notify you about our own products and services or products and services that we are involved in via our newsletter.

WHERE WE STORE OUR PERSONAL DATA

The data that we collect from you will be processed by staff operating in the UK who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order or booking, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers or in files securely kept at Mr Miles Tea Rooms.

Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION

BOOKINGS

You consent to Mr Miles Tea Rooms keeping information you supply to us with reference to a booking or event.  This information will include your name, contact number and any information necessary to fulfil a customer’

s requirements.  This information may be used to contact you with regards to your booking or event.  This information will be stored in a diary until the end of the following year, when the diary will be destroyed.  Your information may be shared with staff members or suppliers in order to fulfil customers’ requirements but will not be shared with or sold to any other 3rd party.

CUSTOMER ORDERS

If an enquiry is made for a product or retail item then we may ask for your name, phone number and any other information necessary to fulfil the customer’s needs.  This information will be stored in a file accessible only by Mr Miles Tea Room staff and will be used for the sole purpose of the customers enquiry.  The information may be shared with other Mr Miles Tea Room employees or suppliers to fulfil the customers’ requirements

Once the customers enquiry has been completed the information held will be destroyed.

FRIENDS OF MR MILES

To join Friends Of Mr Miles we will collect your name, address, email address and phone number. This information will be stored in a file accessible only by Mr Miles staff and also on a secure server, accessible by Mr Miles Staff and our internet maintenance company (Distinctive UK).

By joining Friends Of Mr Miles, you consent to Mr Miles Tea Rooms contacting you via phone, email or via our regular newsletter which will contain information about products and events run by or in conjunction with Mr Miles Tea Rooms.  Your information will not be shared with or sold to any 3rd party.

EMPLOYMENT APPLICATIONS

Applications for employment will be strictly by a Mr Miles Tea Rooms application form, which can be collected from the Tea Rooms or downloaded from our website.  A curriculum vitae or application by an alternative method (email, Facebook message etc) will not be accepted.

Information on the application form will be held for 6 months, after which it will be destroyed.  Details may be shared with Mr Miles staff members for the purpose of employment application at Mr Miles Tea Rooms or any other venue associated with Khong Ethereal Ltd.  Details will not be shared with or sold to any 3rd party.

All application forms must be signed, dated and consent given by the applicant to hold their data before an application form can be accepted.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.

The right to complain

If you feel that your rights covered under the Act have been violated, you have the right to complain to the national data protection authority, which is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK.
